This blog is an opportunity for us to share our joy with those whom we love! We started with just the two of us and can't wait to extend our family to four. As our family grows, this blog will allow us to capture the beautiful moments God continues to bless us with. May Lyric (and Baby Boyd to come) make you smile and enjoy each new moment in this crazy thing called life.

Baby Boyd 2: 18 Weeks
It is so incredible to feel this baby kick around! I have to be still and sitting down, but the few daily reminders bring smile after smile. Kicks and spins are much more prominent than they were with Lyric. One negative part of pregnancy popped up this week: my upper leg pain that I get from running. This happened with my last pregnancy too, but further into it.
We should be having our "ultra" ultrasound soon, which will be exciting to see baby more up close!

Baby Boyd 2: 17 Weeks
Baby’s progress: 17 Weeks
Total weight gain for Mommy: 5 pounds...here we go!
Food cravings: I bought some Riesen's (chocolate caramel candies) after having a dream about them. Random. Also, still loving that salt and vinegar! I bought some spicy garlic buffalo wing sauce to drench my chicken in. A specific eating goal this pregnancy: One of those ginormous cheesy-goodness loaded potatoes from Jason's Deli. I've never had one...but I am really looking forward to it. :)
Symptoms of pregnancy: Headaches are creeping in more and more. Doc said there was nothing I could do about it. I plan on trying the Peppermint Essential Oil. I hear it is magical.
Working out: 5-6 days a week of running and/or Insanity.
Mood: I feel good most of the time!
Sleep: I sleep great...minus the 2-3 bathroom breaks.
Movement: I felt the little nugget today! I've been unsure until today. Best. Thing. Ever. The kicks are bigger than Lyric's first pokes.
Best moment of the week: I got to see the baby at my appointment and hear the heartbeat. Always a great feeling!
How is being pregnant with Lyric around? She kissed and hugged my belly. Even though she has no idea why. Our dance parties at the end of the day are more difficult to participate in since I am tired more often.
Anything different this second-go-round? More headaches like mentioned before. Less ability to lay around and rest. I take advantage when I can! Looking forward to: Our appointment with the big ultrasound office. It's there that we will get a closer look at sweet Baby Boyd 2. I'll make sure to remind the little stinker to keep their legs crossed to avoid gender reveal. We want to be surprised on their birthday!
Baby Boyd 2: 16 Weeks
Happy St. Patrick's Day! We made sure to wear our festive green and gave a Thin Mint to Lyric. That's about as Irish as we got this year. Next time, Lucky Charms and green milk? We'll see.
All pregnancy things still the same...can't wait to see the doctor next week!
Baby Boyd 2: 15 Weeks

This week was pretty normal. Busy with all the events of our lives. One exciting addition was having Demi here for her Spring Break! As for the pregnancy: A few headaches from time to time along with more bathroom breaks than normal. My belly looks as if I am carrying twins. Yummy foods this week: sushi (preggo style), salt and vinegar chips (with 40% less fat!), pizza, and Cafe Rio. Oh! I got to try an acai bowl (It's a California thing) and had Sambalatte with Demi. I may gain a bit more weight this time around. :)

Baby Boyd 2: 14 Weeks
We have reached the second trimester! Already moving by so quickly. Now that we are back home from our Texas getaway, it's time to get moving and eating like normal. This week is the first that I feel pregnant. My belly is getting bigger by the minute. I feel like I could eat everything. There's a bit of discomfort. No complaining though, I have a baby who needs me on the outside and the inside. Oh yeah, and a husband who doesn't need to hear it. :)
Baby Boyd 2: 13 Weeks
Last week of the first trimester and we are off to Houston! I traveled during the same part of my pregnancy last time. Bryan was able to get us a Pre Boarding Pass for the plane due to my pregnancy. Front row baby! (Literally) So thankful for such great friends who took us to all the best spots in The Woodlands. To sum up the trip…we ate, and ate, and ate. Texas has great food! Baby enjoyed it.
Baby’s progress: 13 Weeks
Total weight gain for Mommy: Lost a pound…weighed in at 118.
Food cravings: I got my burger fix in Texas. Yuuummmm-ee.
Working out: Took a break on vacation. It was inspiring to see Bryan run his half marathon. Clothes?: Some jeans may need the belly band next week.
Mood: Happy. :)
Sleep: It's been a good week.
Movement: Not yet.
Best moment of the week: Going to Texas was blast! Saturday, February 22, 2014
Baby Boyd 2: 12 Weeks
Baby’s progress: 12 Weeks
Total weight gain for Mommy: I weigh in next week.
Food cravings: I had Cafe Rio twice this week! (Though, this is a normal craving.)
Working out: You betcha…as long as my body let's me. Clothes?: A bit frustrating not being able to wear all my cute clothes from Christmas. All of my flowy shirts just make me look too big. Ironically, tighter is better.
Mood: Really good!
Sleep: Had a bad night last week, but mostly good. Feels so nice!
Movement: I have been sitting so still while laying down to feel something. Probably just gas bubbles moving around in there.
Best moment of the week: So here's another no-child-around highlight (what a passionate mother I sound like..geesh!): While Bryan was out of town, his parents watched Lyric over night and into the next evening. A whole 24 hours by myself. No husband, no toddler. I lounged…and lounged…and then lounged a little more. How is being pregnant with Lyric around? She's such a joy and keeps me on my feet. Baby Boyd is feeling a lot of dancing and hearing a lot of stories and songs.
